Dogsona why not

Misplaced

I think dogs are kinda my favorite animal. Like they were my inspiration for drawing and were/are a constant source for emotional... wellness? They just help me go through crap and bad feelings. Hard not to love something after that.
So I've been trying to make a dogsona for while, at first I went with a whippet for body type(skinny and short) but the face didn't work so I mixed it with shetland sheepdog. They are my favorite breed. But it wasn't quite working so I scrapped the idea.
Until this miniature pinscher popped into my head. It has the right build and face. I also have germanic roots, like my family has a coat of arms apparently and our surname is derived from a province(?) in germany. All the men of the family are taller and bigger than me and do manly man things and I'm just little and scrawny, drawing and writing all day. So I do feel like how those min pins probably do when you see pictures of them with doberman pinschers. It doesn't hurt my self esteem or whatever, because I have plenty of good qualities they don't but I always have to look up at them and have my hand swallowed by theirs during a hand shake eheh.
Not sure about the colors, and I may still mix in a breed. I kinda want to reference my mom's side to, I look more like her.

very cool to read how you develop your character. it's nice that you put a great deal of thought into the process instead of just slapping a bunch of rainbows and piercings onto some generic canine.

These faces are fantastic! Also that pinstripe coat is the best. You really draw with such smooth lines too, I'm really loving your style.
