One of three all-black tank battalions of World War II Europe. Perhaps the most famous, serving directly under General Patton in the race to reinforce Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge. One of its soldiers, Staff Sergeant Ruben Rivers, posthumously received the Congressional Medal of Honor.
