Back to the Gendoran Republic, the island chain nation. The country's main modes of transportation between the islands, even to this day, are mainly by bridge (between larger populated islands), aircraft, and boats. The concept of flying boats became the country's staple in local shipping, transport, search & rescue, maritime patrol, and at the 1940s-equivalent era, as a military scout & maritime bomber.

This type (obviously my favorite PBY Catalina), has served in various military roles over 60 years ago, and still continues to serve in the civilian & law enforcement market.
