Feral Mirromy Info (Mirrim)

Mirromy

Doodle concept for the equivalent of a feral Mirromy. This is the direct ancestor of the current Mirromy, and about the point where Mirromy and Shlealin split ways genetically. These guys are still around due to their adaptability as well.

They are not a alternate Mirromy subspecies, but more so in relation to humans and chimpanzees.

Info:

-About 6 inches long when hatching, can grow to an enormous size of 18 feet long, nose to tail.

-Primarily a vegetarian. Often eats shelled creatures and other slow creatures.

-Slow swimmer in general, capable of fast bursts of speed if needed.

-Does not have poisonous tongue barb. It's flesh if chomped however is poisonous.

-Curls up in a defensive ball. blends in with surroundings using tail to imitate coral or seaweed.

-Very sharp front teeth, dull molar-like back teeth.

-Parietal eye functions much like a normal eye. It can make out shapes and colors.

-Passive over all, lives in small colonies of 3-10 adults. Sizes are usually within a few foot range of each other unless offspring.

-Aggressively will guard nesting sites in mating season. As eggs are not very poisonous.

-One gender, much like Mirromy. However, oldest is typically the breeding "female". The others in higher age/rank are "males". Younger Mirrim are genderless in display.

-Lives on ocean floor, or in muddy water banks. Nests are mole-like tunnels in mud and gravel. Often times in naturally formed coral tunnels.

-Very smart, with their own simple language of chirps and coos. Often attempt to imitate Mirromy noises if kept as pets.
