Befriending a Legendary Pokémon wasn’t something to take lightly, Wallace knew this and it made him admire her even more, such elegant view and demeanor wasn’t common nor for everyone to see. Yet, he couldn’t help but get a bit worried when both take to the skies looking for adventure. At her return Winona rolled her eyes at the scene “What if I land someplace else?” she asked raising an eyebrow the Water type expert mocked her “You never do that, sometimes I think you’re expecting me to wait for you, darling”, response that would only get an angry glare.

Truth be told, both were always expecting to find each other after those voyages and they would always find a way to see each other if they couldn’t.

After years of concealing the feelings, they realized that the best thing to do was to try.

It’s been almost a year since I drew the sketch of this picture, I’ve worked on it since then, got other things to do so I couldn’t finish it before I also took my time working on the details, as usual xD
Funnily enough, I haven’t actually read Pokémon Special but I’ve known for years that Wallace and Winona used to be in a relationship before the events of the manga, at first I was indifferent/okay about them as a pairing but as time passed I played ORAS and got to play Pokémon Masters which explores a bit more about the characters (It might not be canon but it’s the closest thing we get as character exploration in the franchise and it’s usually not out of character so I take it) I started to consider it, consider that it could work after all and so I started shipping them.
Reason why I didn’t post anything about them in the past is that I wasn’t really sure about it, because I’ve read mean comments over the years so for those who don’t like it, please just ignore it, I won’t fight over a ship, you’re free to dislike it just don’t be rude, I’ll just hide the comment.

Fun fact: Winona owns a Rayquaza in the Black 2/ White 2’s Pokémon World Tournament in The Battle Between Legendary Pokémon challenge, so I thought it’d be nice to depict that. Of course, instead of adding a regular Rayquaza I decided to make it shiny and in the form of Mega Rayquaza, don’t get me wrong, I love Rayquaza’s base form and color palette but I really like how the shiny and Mega versions look haha xD
