“When Two Trainers' Eyes Meet…”

After several hours climbing and battling strong Pokémon she managed to make it to the top, in the hopes of finding something, perhaps a challenge. When she got there, she could spot a silhouette in the distance, as she got closer, she started to distinguish who this person was: the heroine of Kanto, the one that disbanded Team Rocket and became the Champion of the region all those years ago ready to accept the challenge.
Lyra couldn't help but feel a chill running down her spine.

This is the remake of this picture, done in 2014 it was a big challenge back then, I still love it to bits so I wanted to do a little tribute to it! （。＾▽＾）

Leaf has always been a very underrated character and I really wanted to give her some spotlight because I love her original design. The original pic had Mega Charizard X (Which I love) so I added it to this pic too, also it’s ironic because Leaf + Fire haha, it’s an interesting concept (@^0^@)/

I sketched this back in March-April, not sure, and I knew it was going to take a lot to be done so I waited till I had enough time to work on it, actually, been planning to do a remake of this pic for years. It roughly took over a month to finish this, had many inconveniences that had nothing to do with the project that prevented me from finishing it before and that’s the main reason it took that long to get it done.

I did draw every single hair and scale in this pic, using brushes is always good but when it comes to this kind of projects, I prefer doing everything myself, that way it ends up looking as intended (^▽^)
