The Gothic spires and towers of the Palace of Westminster, designed by Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin. The building is the Houses of Parliament.

The towers consists of brickwork with sand coloured Anston limestone cladding and cast-iron roofs to prevent fire.

Big Ben is the main bell which sits inside the Great Clock of Westminster. The 316ft clock tower was completed on 10th April, 1858. In 2012 the clock tower finally given a name, Elizabeth, in honour of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

It has become one of the most prominent symbols of both London and Great Britain (United Kingdom).
