For my friend Mike, from Wabano Community Centre in Ottawa who is a fellow two-spirit and men's traditional dancer. He received his spirit name, which in English translates to 'Dancing Wolf Boy'. The Ojibwe writing is a blessing and a see you later to him :3
All regalia is individual to the person and thus it is inappropriate to steal designs from photographs and people at powwows. A lot of time, effort, and money goes into powwow regalia no matter the style and it is considered at best offensive and at worst a spiritual taboo to copy/steal/appropriate regalia and their designs into your work. It's best to design it for yourself in pictures/life based on your community/history/culture/individual expression than to take from others :)
