I am Kiyo.

There's nothing too special about being a mermaid princess. Well, except in my kingdom, our royalty has dragon blood. The tradition of the heir mating with a great Sea Dragon began many centuries ago, and that is a story for another day. At this moment, it is I that matters, for I am heir to the throne; unless my brother returns.
When I was 15 years old, my elder brother of three years fled from the castle without a trace. I don't know why, but deep in my heart I always assumed he did it out of spite. See, before he left, I told him that I had no romantic interest in men. He didn't show any signs of hatred, but to disappear and put me in this uncomfortable position of knowing that one day I must mate with a male Dragon! Maddening! Frustrating! And most importantly...frightening. I dare not confront my father of this. My Dragon mother, however, has known for some time and has shown nothing but her support.
In the meantime, I do my best not to worry. I have taken up the hobby of playing tricks and pranks on my servants, family, friends, and anyone in the kingdom who I feel needs a good laugh. I am not a terrible person, however! No, I do my very best to be a kind and benevolent princess. All I want is to see my subjects and those I love smile.
I love my royal lifestyle. I've heard all the stories of princesses who despised their castles and their walls. I suppose it is a little different here. My kingdom is not a secret, nor is it heavily protected by walls. The Dragons are just enough to keep out unwanted humans. Either way, I know very well I am as spoiled rotten as a princess can get. I have flaws, I know this. I am so very used to getting exactly what I want. I will learn to get over this, I am certain. I must, for it is a sign of maturity.
First, I wish to find my brother. If I can do this, I can continue being a princess and I can finally tell my father that I am a lesbian, and the kingdom will still have future heirs.

Not too happy that I have to add a mature filter just for ONE FUCKING NIPPLE but oh well.

Anyway, this is a..."mermaid-sona" of sorts of mine. I have been working on this piece for about a week (mostly took so long because I'm also learning web design :U ). I am so very happy I was able to not only get this done, but write a good description and finally ost some art! It's been quite a break lol.
