Extra characters AND/OR characters with complicated designs are:
+$1.50 lineart
+$2 flat
+$3 detailed (+$5 for detailed characters)

Add this cost to each panel.

Example:

3 Panel Lineart = $12
With 2 extra characters = +$9
Total = $21
