#BoundlessFreedom by Mekali Kaga (critique requested)

As I look into the night sky
Looking at a far away star
I want to reach out and say hi
Yet I realize it is too far

The night is an endless black
Surrounding me with darkness
I know to watch my back
For life is not painless

Life can hurt us in a split second
Without any rhyme or reason
Determined to keep us down
From spring to the winter season

I stare into the air
Wondering what else is out there
I want to get off the ground
Even if it means weighing a pound

My eyes become tired and heavy
Just like an oversized Chevy
It would appear to seem
That I am beginning to dream

I can feel myself moving around
I have a sense of floating
Moving effortlessly around my room with ease
It won't end, which is what I'm hoping...

My eyes open up wide
As I look down by my side
My body is resting at peace
And all movement has ceased

Nothing feels natural now
I think something has changed
I look in a mirror and see how
I can see I've transformed

I don't know who this is
This is an unfamiliar persona
But as I look closer
I see I've become my fursona

From my head to my tail
My body feels kinda tight
But there's no need to wail
Because this feels all right

As I float towards the window
And pass right through it
Hovering right above the ground
I stare into the black pit

I look closer and begin to focus
It becomes very clear to me
The sky isn't dark at all
The cosmos show themselves to me

Instantly I shoot into the air like a rocket
With no intention of slowing down
I know I'll reach the stars soon
For I am indeed space bound

I escape the pull of the Earth
I fight will all my girth
It becomes very clear
That the stars are very near

I feel a wave of emotion
That fills me with glee
Because there is a notion
That in this world, I can be free

I notice there are others just like me
They're dreaming too, so far and so high
They too have a sense of boundless freedom
Floating around weightlessly just like I

They come greet me and I go greet them
All different sizes, shapes, and colors
Doesn't matter who you are or what you look like
We accept each other as sisters and brothers

I realize this is where I belong
That everything will be just right
I know this will be a good time
Floating around in this endless night

Sadly, this dream has ended
And I have awoken once more
For as long as I have great friends and family
Life will never be a bore

I look outside and see my friends
They look up and wave back at me
For if I didn't have them by my side
I would never truly be free

I only live once, so I should have fun
Regardless of what happens, I know I'll prevail
Because nothing can ever stop me
From happily wagging my tail

I've been feeling a little stuck lately, so this one may help you or any other furs feel better.
