The first appearance of the golden locket that Fiachra always wears after he is transformed into a doe. But while it is an undoubtedly powerful magical artifact, with further powers that Fiachra has yet to unlock, the locket is important for another reason as well. It originally belonged to Fiachra's twin sister, Aoife, who got it from their mother, Bébinn, on the twins' fourth birthday. Like her mother before her, Aoife was much too bold and curious for a young rabbit, and she spent most of her life slipping away from her mother to explore the lands around the house where they lived. Unfortunately, both Aoife and Bébinn died when Fiachra was still very young, and the locket is all he has to remember his vanished twin by.
