Awhile back, I came up with a few designs for Cecil Gershwin-Palmer (of "Welcome To Night Vale"), and ended up designing a tall, lanky Native American version I really liked. Here he is, gushing over Carlos with Heavy (who is equally gushy over Medic).
Thanks. It's something I strive for with my art. When I was younger, I used to see a lot of artists mocked for "sameface", and I did whatever I could to avoid it.
You make it sound like such a disease lol. I quite often suffer from a same face disease, but its because that expressions is my preference. I draw a face dependent on the situation, so I wonder if its that they didn't or that they didn't know how :o
Sameface is, to me, drawing every character with the same eyes, same nose, same mouth, same jawline, same eyebrows, same cheekbones, same face shape. Two people can express the same expression in the same comic panel, while not being mistaken for the same person.
I just...I went on sites where they mocked bad fanart and fanfic a lot. I didn't want that to be my fate, too. And yeah, a lot of it is just lack of knowledge or experience.

Great job on the expressions and different shape of faces.
