My Talortai, as I mentioned before, is Force-sensitive like all members of his race. Still, they do not take sides as Jedi or Sith despite this connection and it appears few of them actually make use of their latent abilities. Tiath, however, progressively honed and expanded his connection to the Force over the millennia and eventually managed to craft his first saber in the form of a sectional saberpike. His most cherished achievement in making the saber was obtaining a focusing crystal in the form of a black pearl, fresh from the gullet of a Krayt dragon he hunted and dispatched personally.

The weapon could be broken down for travel or concealment into three pieces. When fighting in open ground the pike allowed him to keep his enemies at a distance, but the hilt of the blade could be detached from the staff to be wielded as a classic lightsaber for more cramped combat situations. The counterweight at the back end of the pike was also an electrostaff. When dealing with multiple enemies, he could wield the lightsaber with one hand and the electrostaff in the other for defense and as a way to throw off his assailants. All this in addition to using the Force to his advantage too as he grew more powerful.
