Assistance

McNasty

“Alright,” the Alakazam sighed as he took his seat. The couch, though bland and beige, was at least comfortable. He sank considerably, though not nearly as far as his much larger partner. The Grumpig landed with a heavy thud, causing the couch to slide backwards the slightest amount. Graceful.

“We’re not going to waste your time, Mr. Gaeth,” The Alakazam continued as he adjusted his sunglasses. “We work for an organization called ‘The Eye,’ and we require your assistance.”
Sitting across from the two suited men was a gardevoir, dressed casually in a low-cut sweater and short shorts. He sat with his hands in his lap, his eyes forward, his smile wide and somehow…unnatural. He cocked his head to the side. “Assistance? I’m sorry, but you must have the wrong person. I don’t think I can help you.”

“Not, literally you per say, if you understand my meaning,” the grumpig cut in.

The gardevoir’s smile remained as wide as ever. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

The Alakazam sighed, “Yeah, I thought you might say that…”

You’re wasting your time.

The two suited men shared a glance. They had both heard the voice. She was watching, but not visible as far as they could see. She wouldn’t be, with the gardevoir’s mental state as stable as it was. The faint imprint of a behind on a nearby chair was all they could see of her.

Poor kid’s even fooled himself. You won’t get through to him. Trust me. I’ve tried.

Ignoring the voice, the Alakazam pulled a small white envelope from his jacket’s pocket. “We have the right person, Mr. Gaeth. Here.” He handed the envelope to the gardevoir, who casually opened it and stared at the paper inside. “We can’t discuss details quite yet, but do know that your assistance will not come without compensation. You’ll be provided a generous stipend for your time, among other benefits. We’re located just downtown and-”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” the Gardevoir said again, as he lowered the paper.

See?

The Alakazam pinched the bridge of his nose. “You don’t have to play dumb, sir. We’re well aware of your condition and why you might be hesitant about this, but rest assured that we planned everything out thoroughly. We have a state of the art medical facility at the ready. Some of the best neuroscientists in the world at our disposal. The medicine you have so much trouble getting, we can produce indefinitely, at no cost to yourself. We can keep HER, at bay. We’re confident of this. We are well prepared to address any possible issues that you might-”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” the gardevoir said again.

Flabbergasted, the Alakazam leaned back into the couch, his mouth slightly agape.

“Look,” the grumpig cut in again. “Mr. Gaeth. Thomas. As my partner said earlier, we know a lot more than you think. I get that this is a sensitive issue for you. Trust me, we’re not taking it lightly. There are lives at stake, and we wouldn’t be here if we weren’t sure that your cooperation…HER cooperation, would help us greatly. You don’t have to make your decision today, but will you at least consider our offer?”

The gardevoir was silent for a time. His smile broad, his demeanor calm, he turned toward the grumpig and spoke. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Mick:
There are many things about this pic that suck dick, but if I'm going to get more of them out, I've gotta either just get better at drawing faster, or deal with the mistakes. Until I git gud, it's mistake central.
