Oh my-- thank you so much! I'm really glad I was able to achieve that, as the commissioner asked for something that could show a certain "intimacy" between the characters but without them touching each other! ´////`

Aww goodness, this is just so sweet. :3
And I dunno why, but I did the simplicity of the rounded rectangle in the background. Better than whitespace, and the thick white outlines around the characters splits it into some interesting shapes... and helps them stand out, I guess, which was probably the entire point P:
