Gasping for breath, the cloaked figure raced past a rubbish skip at the end of the darkened passage, swiftly turning the corner towards the street beyond and salvation -

"Got you!" a voice gleefully called out in front of him, causing him to stumble to a sudden halt, an electric jolt of pure terror immediately racing through his body. Before him, poised defiantly in the soft golden glow of an ancient sodium street-light was his pursuer of the last hour, an expression of triumphant satisfaction on her face as Super Collie faced him down with her ever-present shepherd's crook held at the ready. For an instant he considered retreating the way that he'd come, but within moments his legs collapsed from underneath him, exhaustion finally overtaking his now-shivering frame...

She hadn't even broken a sweat in chasing him, dammit! It wasn't fair! And how the hell had she got in front of him so quickly? Tears welled up in his eyes as he slowly raised his hands in surrender. The chase was over, Super Collie had won... and dammit, she knew it.

"Got you!" Super Collie repeated, her voice ringing through the night air like a silver bell, her long flowing hair gently moving in the evening breeze. She chuckled happily."I told you I'd get you, didn't I?"
