Ok, let me explain this one. XD

Recently I got my finished artwork for MaxLion which is a character I have been making with Spazzy for a while. I asked for MaxLion to have a light grey underbelly to be a lil different. However, after I saw how MaxLion looked, I realized that it was something I needed on MaxCoyote. I'm getting a new ref made for my fursona at the end of the month anyway. Good time to make a change. :)

So, I told my friend on AIM about the change to my fursona. He was like "God, Max is like fifty shades of grey now". It didn't really click untill after he said that and then we were like LUL. "But Max is only five shades of grey now". "Is Five Shades of Grey MaxCoyote's autobiography?" Of course, after that it had to be drawn. XD Max isn't enjoying this book.

So, it's a picture to show off Max's new look, while poking fun at all his shades of grey with the book. Get it? Five Shades of Grey? Cause now he has 5 and not 4? XD

So this is the first drawing of MaxCoyote with his light grey underbelly. I really love how much more dynamic it makes my character. I think this is kinda the final peice of the puzzle to complete my MaxCoyote character. Only took 10 years. XD Underbelly markings are common, simple, yet adds so much. FateCoyote has an underbelly too. I did that since they are both part fox. And honestly, it works well. I am very happy with the change.

I will have SOME artwork of MaxCoyote without the light underbelly, but I am hoping a few artists might be willing to make some last minute alterations when finished, since it would be pretty easy to do.

1. Main body

2. Face markings (dark black)

3. Tail rings (mid light grey)

4. Hair / Tail tip / glove / feet (lighter black)

5. Underbelly (light light grey)
