IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN USING AS ARTISTIC REFERENCE:

1: Fate's cape is held on with a strap between for forward most corners around her neck. This strap is not visible in the ref. It was mistakenly excluded. Her cape and top are NOT once piece!! Use THIS picture as a ref for the cloak strap.

2: The black strap at Fate's hip is NOT the strap for her sword scabbard!! It is her tied black underwear. Her scabbard is tucked into the back of her loincloth. Her netting is UNDER her black underwear. It keeps her netting up as well.

3: She has a loincloth in the back, as well as the front of her. Her butt is NOT exposed! Tail goes through a gap in the loin cloth, near the top. Scabbard is tucked/attacked to the loincloth right above her tail.

4: Her cape is also a cloak with a hood, and is large and tall enough to cover her whole body from head to toe.

5: Her short katana looks small and thin, but it is not. Use THIS PICTURE as a reference of her sword size and style, except the fact her hilt and scabbard are a polished black wood. (large file)

6: Please check THIS PICTURE as a reference for her armbands in terms of thickness and shape. This ref doesn't show the bottom plate very well or the correct thickness.

It's done!

If you know me, you've probably noticed me talk about this character alot the last few weeks.

Even though, this character is actually over a YEAR in production! I'm very happy with this reference. Everything I had in my mind about this character has come together well, and thanks to keihound. She was really patient to me even though I missed a couple serious details which made things complicated in the last legs of the work. She really was great to work with, and if you are in the market for a new ref, I would defiantly talk to her about getting one.

There is a LONG back story about Fate, but I'm not gonna get into it in the ref. I will have various commissions coming in the future which will dig into her past and her present.

The jist is that she's Max's sister. When they were both young, they lost their mother in a fire. Max took it alot better then Fate did, to say the least. Not only did she lose sight in her right eye in that fire trying to save her mother, but she also lost her family. After she came out of a coma-like state of shock, the vanished. No one knew where she went, and her family considered her dead. Max looked for her for years, but never found her. She ended up studying martial arts, one after the other, becoming masterful in many forms of combat, becoming a top class assassin living in southern Asia.
