Emaire said nothing. The booze—as many things did—spoke for itself. The horns? ...well, they were good for stabbing things. They could stay too.

One of Gertrude's vices is alcohol. Emaire, being massive and a very simple badger, doesn't even consider it a vice; she always has alcohol in her system, diluted only by the sheer volume of blood she possess. Alessi is often, to his surprise, the voice of reason among their group of sailing adventurers. So while Emaire tries her best to be a good influence, and Alessi tries his best to be a bad influence...well, the choice angel and devil speak for themselves.

An amusing idea I said aloud and was tickled pink to see brought to life by Humbug. There's something about that classic cartoon style that really makes absurd ideas like these pop, and Humbug's a master of it.
