Sasha Regal - Reference Portrait

Sasha ogled the city from afar. The towering buildings and huge walls that encircled them seem to rise up from the desert, isolated except for two very simple and sand-swept roads. Her awestruck look said it all: she'd never even seen a city before. The most she'd encountered was the bazaar set up twice a year near her people's main camp by traveling caravans.

"And what is it you plan on doing here?" The words came from a ghostly impression in the air, the vaguest image of a large lizard upon her back and perched upon her right shoulder. Even if anyone else was around on this large dune, they wouldn't have seen or heard anything.

"Adventuring! Learning about these people of buildings and machines," Sasha cheerily said. She paused. "And I guess eventually doing that whole dip-lo-ma-cy thing. But nobody's going to let me join that guild the visitor talked about if they think of me as a chief's daughter!"

The figure on her shoulder smiled. It wasn't a kind one. "I see. Well then, I suppose I should help find you the right people to talk to and trust then, no? I'd hardly be a good bound companion if I didn't, my credulous girl."

Sasha's jaw dropped a little. "Wow, really Lumnar? Usually you hate the things I choose."

"That's because you rarely choose them," he retorted, not even missing a beat despite the unusually perceptive comment from the girl. "You just obey and believe anything. This...is a choice. A very risky, ambitious, and...entertaining choice. Especially if you proceed with your usual...positivity." Lumnar chuckled to himself. "Either I get to grow, or I get to have fun."

"Well!" Sasha said, beaming like she'd never beamed before. "If even you're for this, then I'm definitely doing it! Let's go!"

Sasha was the first character I made after leaving the very first site I ever RPed on. I was inspired by Pathfinder's Summoner class and their take on eidolons. I thought it would make sense for them to be intelligent spirits seeking form and growth into what they perceive to be their ideal form. What happens when your eidolon doesn't always have your best interests at heart, though? What if the eidolon has more will and direction than the summoner? And thus Sasha Regal was made, a clueless, dopey and inherently trusting tigress whose royal bloodline in her tribe has made her obligated to be bound to a spirit.
