As Fen laid there with the lil gator duck they just don't understand why creatures with intelligence would do such a thing to a nest of gator ducks. For their mother was out hunting when the group of bandit found the nest. For fun, they just started to bash up the lil hatchlings. Fen stumbled upon them to late and was only able to save one of the babies. As Fen laid with the lil one hoping that his mother will be back soon.
