Finished this for Valentine's Day back in last February.
Well, basically, this is how I interpret Valentine's Day: to spread the love, joy and happiness in this world. It's not just all about celebrating the relationship between two lovers. It's also about spreading the love among friends and family. This non-romantic interpretation of Valentine's Day is compatible with singles like me so even I can enjoy it, too. =)
I started drawing this way back in 2010, but for some reason, I stopped, with only both the dog and the cat having been drawn. Maybe because I kinda lost interest in finishing it. >_>;; The rabbit and the mouse was added afterwards. They have always meant to be there, so this picture follows exactly like my original plan back then.
Originally, this picture had nothing to do with Valentine's Day at all. I merely wanted to draw something that's happy, with the cat throwing little hearts around which symbolize the spreading of the love, joy and happiness. With Valentine's Day fast approached, and still felt pissed-off by this ban my country imposed on us Muslims against celebrating this wonderful special day >_<, I decided to finish this pic, and basically repurposed it as a Valentine's Day pic.
