Now I'm making fun of people in their 40s/50s bragging about getting spanked (my take here https://www.weasyl.com/~manicthemod/submissions/1449345/spanking-is-bad), never wearing helmets or seatbelts, contracting chickenpox/measles/mumps, buying cigarettes for grandma, wandering around all by themselves at such a young age, waiting days and days at a time just to get an answer for a letter.

I don't know how many times I've said this (or if I've ever said this), but I'm super thankful that I live in a time where we have vaccines for chickenpox, spanking being confirmed to be bad for children, and helmets and seatbelts.
