The following short story is based on a roleplay videogame called Skyrim, which takes place in a medieval world that is filled with elves, magic, dragons, and other things of the fantastic sort. Being a videogame, there are many references to the gameplay addressed throughout this story. One such being “fast travel”, which is when the player in other words teleports to any said destination without actually having to travel the distance on foot (all non-playing characters are oblivious to any of the videogame elements such as this one). The story also features several ongoing jokes regarding this game series, specifically those jokes regarding to the “abuse” a player’s fellow non playing companion is often forced to endure. Companions never typically complain about their rather humorous mistreatment, therefore players seem to have an endless opportunity to be able to find infinite ways to torment their AI based companions. Yet what if these companions were to finally say something?
