Nostalgia blast!

Still one of my all time favorite cartoon dudes from my childhood. Real Monsters was probably second only to Ren & Stimpy for me as a kid. Growing up I experienced just about every form of schooling there is, and Monster Academy is just about the only schooling I ever enjoyed (except college, that was pretty awesome). I also like the idea of a monster having to pull an all-dayer trying to find something they lost.

This was actually some really old fan art I had stored on my computer as just partially completed line work; I'll occasionally work on, complete and upload old work that I still like (with some improvements, obviously). I somewhat regret not putting more effort in including reflective light on some parts of this (such as on his heels), but I am happy with my choice in colors, background, and applied textures.
