While looking for rook refs for my previous drawing, they fascinated me a bit. And I think they kinda remind me of plague doctors.
So I created this guy. His name is Fergus Frugilegus, but that's possibly a fake name (as the scientific name for the rook is "Corvus frugilegus" (bird nerding never ends)). I'm not sure in which story I'm placing him yet, but he might do a fine sinister doctor with a shady past and a lot of wisdom to share.

Nice to see rooks getting some attention for a change. There's a rookery in the woods near where I live, meaning some impressively ominous cawing coming from high in the trees when going for a stroll. It's pleasing how sociable they are compared to crows, and they don't mind little squeaky jackdaws mingling among them,
