A while ago, I was doing some sketching experiments about avians. I did some wing poses and expressions practice, as well as some more finished drawings.
Since corvids are the second most abundant species type in my world (after only the canids), I decided to focus my bird studies on them for a while.
Here, I've picked nine examples of corvids:
American Crow, Common Raven, Rook,
Eurasian Magpie, Eastern Jackdaw, Blue Jay
Red-billed Chough, Rufous Treepie and Black-throated Magpie-Jay.
I should have drawn a nutcracker instead of the magpie-jay (because after all, it's also a jay), BUT I JUST COULDN'T RESIST. It's so beautiful! -
Bird nerding. I can't get enough of it.
