The Dog and the Wolf by magnus

The Dog and the Wolf

magnus

an Assignment for illustration, had to draw an image utilizing opposites and apply it to a fable or article. i put in both versions with the type and without

I did "The Wolf and the Dog" from Aesop's, which is opposites anyway (Freedom/Slavery, Security/Uncertainty), then I brought in a level of Faith/Faithless.

Meant to look ambigous, I wanted tension between the priest dog (Domesticated, bipedal, loyal, etc) offering the safety and reassurance he has to the wolf (wild, free, independent, etc). The wolf is neither rejecting or accepting the offer at this point, but as the fable tells, the wolf would rather starve in his freedom.
