I've suffered from depression since I was little.

It's like being left alone in a deep, thick forest. You feel hopeless, like you're alone in the world with no one to save you. The forest is so thick, you can't see that civilization, indeed your salvation is a mere hundred feet away. You feel like you'll never escape, and this torment will never end. You're pushed down so low, you can't see that you have friends and family willing to save you, if you'd but reach out a hand. You begin to think that death is a solution; if you are dead you can't perceive your pain. It's a light at the end of a very, very dark tunnel. It's hope, it's a way out from your suffering as insane as it sounds.

Then you realize how dumb that is, and what a gift life is. You hear the traffic of civilization near you, and you run from the forest, never looking back. You find your friends, your family, and you are saved. Yet, somehow, you keep finding your way back to the forest. You run in circles. You're hopeless again. How do you break this cycle? How do you get out of this hole?
