From a series of drawings I did in a copy of gender trouble that I'm using as a sketchbook.

People give me copies of Gender Trouble and other theory, which has been foundational for giving me the language i use to describe my experiences. Reading theory-- including this book-- was like seeing myself portrayed in media for the first time, or finding the words for myself-- it was learning that I wasn't alone in these experiences.

These are expansions on my aggregative drawing process; in a sketchbook ~5x8" (not a lot of space to move around in). This set that i'm about to upload on here are fairly diaristic. They were primarily done in gel pen (which, btw, does not want to layer).
