Life with Puwmas 3

Mac-Dragon

I got a decent glimpse of the planet’s surface before we entered the dome city. The sand and canyons spanned as far as I could make out, and I could have sworn I saw some huge creature breaching across the deserts in the distance. Did they really think it was safe to colonize on such a planet? My attention soon shifted after we docked. Stepping outside the shuttleport, I wandered a bit to the inner city, and it seemed I was half right about the flora. There were some similar shades of maroon from some foliage growing atop a brick wall, but I took note of some more prominently turquoise bushes growing on the outside of buildings, which had the same sleek and ivory aesthetic shared from the shuttleports, with almost all of them having some form of plant life on its surface. Making my way to find a hotel, I came across crowds, consisting mostly of the native Puwma, who also seem to emanate the same helpful demeanor as the others I’ve encountered. They even asked if I was looking for some lodging, noting my travel back and bewildered disposition as a giveaway. Their directions took me to a street corner, which oddly enough wasn’t filled with cars, just walking pedestrians. Any vehicles I saw were in the air, or specified landing spots, one of which was located near a food market. I spotted what seemed to be one of the store’s employees helping a pregnant woman with bags as she entered the taxi waiting outside. Now that I think about it, I saw quite a few gravid people so far. Some in the crowds, usually holding hands with another, and even more laying on blankets at a park around the center of the city. Both them and the people near them seemed enamored with their bellies. Coddling the babies with and feeling for kicks. I know this was natural for some expecting parents, but the amount I witnessed seemed excessive. Regardless, I made my way to the hotel they directed me towards.

This one took forever. Not sure I'm happy with it now, but I ain't redoing this now. (Maybe in the future.)
