Lycodrake

Lycodrake is a wingless dragon and is meant to be more European and American in design and origin; he could almost be counted as a gargoyle or basilisk, except he doesn’t go into the “stone sleep” or have more than four legs. He works as a messenger for [my version of] Athena.

He’s normally quiet and reclusive and feels terribly awkward when meeting new people, but likes making friends and talking surprisingly well. He’s slightly stubborn and sarcastic, but at heart he’s an idealist with only a sliver of cynicism. If someone he cares for is hurt, he gets upset, and if it was intentional, he is vindictive and vicious in retaliation.

He likes sunny days, reading, spending time talking and “just hanging out” with friends, and taking naps - at some points people wonder if he isn’t more cat or lizard (just don’t call him one) than dragon.

He dislikes cold and ice, and has a weakness to both, seeing his friends hurt, angry, or upset, and Ares - his boss’s bloody, warmongering brother and rival; he is terrified of heights and either faints or flails spastically from that fear.

In combat, Lycodrake is a mix between a “Fighter” and a “Rogue”, leaning heavily towards quick series of powerful and aimed attacks, dodging, and resistance against elemental magic - minus ice and air. Like a [Fire Emblem] "Myrmidon".

Marie is a Djinn, or Ifrit [I am undecided], that takes a hybrid form between a lioness and camel and is meant to be more Middle-Eastern, Egyptian, and Indian in design and origin. Her physical form is almost like a camelopard, but is far more leonine in appearance. She’s kind of a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none for a profession, but usually works as a mage and healer bodyguard for desert travelers.

She’s soft-spoken most of the time, friendly to almost anyone, and just likes being there for her friends. But if someone is an enemy or makes an enemy of her - attacking her or her friends - she is brutally adamant in protecting herself and them. She’s jaded to a lot of things in the world - some would assume that’s from her being a Djinn/Ifrit - but dearly loves her friends despite that almost numb bitterness.

She likes sunny days and cool nights, taking walks and hikes, spending time with friends. She also likes food, especially bananas.

She dislikes seeing her friends hurt, angry, or upset, zealots and extremists, and people who can’t look past their differences to prevent evil from prospering. She has a fear of deep bodies of water and has a bit of claustrophobia - don’t joke about genies and lamps to her.

In combat, Marie is a mix between a “Fighter” and a “Mage”, leaning heavily towards physical defense, magic attacks, and support and healing. Kind of like a mix between [Final Fantasy] “Scholar” and [Fire Emblem] “Shaman”.
