warming up my inking for an ink commission soon
man do I need more practice
Overall your inking shows your confident in what your doing. I suggest doing more stuff like this before moving to the commission. Do you have a light board? (Helps when making ink commissions)
The things i'll point out is:
The eyes on the second picture feels not aligned. I suggest looking into making circle practices and the alignments. Cause it shows cartooning going on but to fix the eye would make it stronger.
The eye in the first one could be smaller but depends what you were aiming for.
Looking into animal legs more BUT you show knowledge on muscle structure! :D
The left paw could be shaped differently.
(Note: cartoon style, i tend to be more soft about critiques but not full on soft) I'm keeping my promise
Hopefully this was helpful D: but like i said, your inking is lovely! Shows personality and animated. :D
going backwards here
YES HELPFULL and thank you <3333, i love inking dearly 9(u wu)
-that left paw was atrocious, honestly, and i'm not sure how that happened with the ink and i was really sad about it, but eh EH
-those legs were erally just a matter of 'oh make contours and doofy shapes to express the feeling of what you want it to feel like. i haven't done any life drawing for reference in a while, so my bodies are so so rusty ; _;
-i like drawing big, long eyes in most all of my drawings, just because big long squinty eyes with accentuated eyelids are expressive of how i feel a lot of the time :x
-those eyes on the righthand face, the stage right one was inked without a lid by mistake. they're on a weird flat plane, but again i was penciling for style and without a skeleton sketch for form. i wanted to push my style, regardless of anatomy. you can see the problem with that in the neck part under the chin (ohgoodness y)
i do not have a light board, but i have used one in the past several times. to me, there isn't much of a difference, and since i go over all my lines twice anyways the pencil erasing stage handles itself without much disaster.
