Luchthonn by Luprand

Luchthonn

Luprand

In Ireland, some of the werewolf legends are a bit more gentle than those on the Continent - while the Laignach Faelad were vicious mercenaries who took their payment in the flesh of newborns, and the fianna were landless aristocrats who referred to their raids as "going wolfing" ... the faoladh or conroicht was a more benign figure, often helping lost travelers find their way back to the path. Sure, they took a cow or sheep for a meal now and then, but in all, they were relatively kindly figures to encounter amidst the woods and hills.

As misharu stumbles on a stone monument in a hidden ruin, he discovers that some legends have a spark of truth to them.
