If touched, the slime will turn you into stone trapping you. There is a way to get free. Requires someone to defeat the leader/controller of the purple slime. It also seems to wear off if a psychic type attack is used on it.

Other details. It infects by damaging the skin forming green veins inside the skin of victim that will lead to transforming into stone.
