YES! We got engaged (wedding is on May 21st, 2016) I LOVE that someone got a picture of him on one knee with the lanterns (and me crying). This is just perfect!

Here is how it happened :3 as I typed it out when we got home:
Since it's about 3am I'm gonna try and tell the whole story, I'll re-read tomorrow and make sure I left nothing out.

So this morning, before Dusty left for work, he told me he wanted to hae a "Date Night". We do this sometimes but not often, we get dressed up and go someplace nice. Today he said he reeeallly wanted to go Downtown because there would be fireworks for memorial day at midnight. We finally found a place that was open after he was done with with work. I got all prettied up and he dressed nice too

He got off work and I was surprised he was home early (now I know that it was because EVERYONE at the steakhouse he works at was helping him do his backwork and clean his tables so he could get out early) so we went to the restaurant earlier than I thought. We stayed there til about 11:55 and I said we should hurry up because the fireworks would be starting soon and I didn't want to miss them. I was a little annoyed that he was taking FOREVER to get out the door and stuff.

I wanted to drive to where the fireworks there but he insisted that we walk and I started to get mad at him because it was dark and scary and there were homeless and drugged-up people about (we only saw two tonight, but I was still terrified). We got to the bridge over the waterfalls and I was pissed by then. I said there was clearly no fireworks show and there was no one around. He INSISTED (seriously, almost dragged me) that we at least go on the bridge to make sure. When we got to the middle of it I said "ok, there are no fireworks, its dark, I feel like we're gonna get mugged!" and then he got on his phone to call one of his friends cuz "he had called him earlier" and I said "I'm going home." and turned around to see the sky full of lanterns like the ones in Tangled (my fav Disney movie)

I whispered "are those lanterns?" with my eyes filling up with tears as I turned to him and he got down on one knee. I even whispered "is this real?" (didn't think I said that one out loud) and started to hyperventilate as he actually asked the question. I said yes and threw myself at him and he yelled down below the bridge "SHE SAID YES!" and I heard a bunch of cheering. Some people came up to us and hugged us tight and I recognized a few faces in the dark. Suddenly the flash-mob showed us. About 50 of our friends and family surrounded us and hugged us and congratulated us as I just sat there and cried in disbelief. Seriously I'm gonna have to sleep with my ring on so I don't freak out tomorrow morning thinking it was just a dream. Then as we walked away to celebrate, Dustyn sang "I see the light" into my ear :'3
