Yet another piece for while it's still relevant this month.. Specifically for Autism Acceptance.

I feel. Strongly about this topic. I'm Autistic, and by extension? So is my Sona, Ally. There are too many who have this preconceived notion that Autism is something to be "cured" or even feared, and that it causes problems for other people.. when that couldn't be further from the truth that we just function differently and that our needs aren't always understood. Long story short, we don't need "Awareness", we need to be accepted.

And? As much as I love the color blue? It has too many ties to a NUMBER of orgs that want to "cure" us and enforce harmful stereotypes about us. As does the puzzle symbolism, as it suggests we're broken and something to be "figured out". Absolute BS is what it is.

(No shade to fellow autistics who identify with/use either of those for themselves as far as having autism goes, but not my thing for the aformentioned reasons. )

So this? I just wanted to draw Al in and design something relevant to Autism Acceptance month for her, using colors and symbols we've been using for ourselves for a while that don't have ties to any of those bad orgs- Nothing about us without us, you know? It was fun incorporating those detail into a new lil outfit for her and given the energy? I totally woulda drawn her in it again this year!

(Speaking of Detail, that lil Red symbol? Likely from Karono's Aura to help her with her lil pose, maybe it's a photoshoot and her team's helping her take some cool pics for the occasion)
