The once charasmatic Celestial Helel turned into the Infernal Lucifer after descending into the Infernal Realm to liberate the innocent Infernals from Satan's tyranny, who was sent by corrupt Celestials to wreak havoc out of a sadistic sense of entertainment. After being defeated, Satan was frozen and locked away in Lake Cocytus in the ninth circle of the Infernal Realm.
Lucifer was then denied status as a Celestial because it was seen as an act of treason.

Lucifer possesses a great intellect, even capable of many psychic abilities.
His exceptional psychic power allow him to obliterate entire planets at the peak of his power and even compress gravity at a single point, creating black holes that are able to consume an entire universe.

However, Lucifer prefers to avoid conflict and will only use his immense power as a last resort.
As he is one of the few who attained omniscience, he knows of every single future event by tapping into the power of the Factor of Time, Laplace. His connection to Laplace can be blurred for various reasons beyond his control however, flawing his foresight.

Lucifer is the brother of Mephistopheles. The betrayal of the Celestials enraged Mephistopheles and wanted to exact revenge, but Lucifer did not want to wage a pointless war with the Celestials, prefering to safeguard the Infernals instead.
Mephisopheles did not understand and gave in to his hatred to the Celestials, so the two fell out and they never saw each other again.
While Mephistopheles chose to forgot his brother, Lucifer kept remembering and caring about him.

Lucifer has the ability to grant sentience, intelligence and knowledge to any given lifeform and he was the one who gave the Apocaleans those skills and entire civilizations were build.
Eventually the Apocaleans faced an energy crisis and experimented with extracting energy out of negative thoughts.

They succeeded to create the EGO, or Energy-Generating Organism, a biological computer that could process these thoughts into energy.
However, since demons are not much more than the spirits of negative thought, the generated energy accidentally opened a portal to the Infernal Realm, and countless merciless Infernals invaded the lands, laying the planet to ruin.

As even the most powerful and devastating of weaponry had no effect on the Infernals, the Apocaleans panicked and used the generated energy to open a portal to another dimension and managed to banish the vast majority of the invading Infernals to that dimension. Unbeknownst to the Apocaleans however, this portal lead to the peaceful world of Primale...

But the worst was yet to come.

As the negative energy was nothing more than a product of Apocalean arrogance, all the energy being processed by EGO caused Lucifer to incarnate into the physical form of EGO.
Having witnessed the brutality and folly of the Apocaleans, the normally calm Lucifer gave up on the Apocaleans, noting how the onlu way the Apocaleans deal with problems is by running away and giving others the consequences, with at its peak unleashing a potential apocalypse on the innocent Primalians, Lucifer decided to eradicate the Apocalean race.

While it took a while for his spirit and powers to get accustomed to his new physical form, eventually Lucifer fully awakened. By then, one of the Primalians who investigated the origin of the turmoil on Primale came to the Apocalean planet, Apocalea, and decided to help the Apocaleans fight the Infernals.

Lucifer did not understand the Primalian girl's stand as it was the Apocaleans who caused all the chaos in her world. As the Apocaleans were running the resources of their planet dry, they were looking to cultivate a neighbor planet they dubbed Mars. To show that the Apocaleans cannot keep running away from their problems and eventually will run out of places to run to, Lucifer imploded this planet using his immense Pyschic power, forming it into a black hole that will eventually come to swallow the entire universe.

The Primalian girl who managed to defeat Mephistopheles into her own world then called upon his powers in an attempt to match Lucifer's power.
Even though Lucifer could eradicate the girl using a fraction of his power, he held back on his power to give her a chance to prove her will and potential.

The girl managed to best Lucifer. Being inspired by her powerful will and seemingly endless hope, Lucifer had a change of heart and decided to give the Apocaleans a chance. If there's anyone like the Primalian girl among the Apocaleans, there may still be hope after all.
Lucifer closed the black hole and vanished alongside all the other Infernals on the planet.

Normally being able to perfectly predict the future, Lucifer wondered why he did not foresee this outcome. When the Primalian girl visited the Infernal Realm to find answers to a new threat that came to her world, Lucifer requested her help to investigate why his foresight was blurred.

Together they traveled to the ninth circle of the Infernal Realm, towards Lake Cocytus.
Lucifer revealed a mysterious teleporter at the bottom of the lake, which sent them to the pocket dimension of Laplace, the Factor of Time and source of Lucifer's omniscience.

It was apparant that Satan managed to break out of his prison and entered the pocket dimension to leech power from Laplace to grant his master and origin of all evil, often referred to as The Great Serpentine Devil, omniscience.

The Chaos Faction are a group of fanatic followers of this Devil operating in the Mortal, Celestial and Infernal Realms whose sole purpose is to bring back their master.
Their motives range from promises of getting their wishes fulfilled, fear of the Great Serpentine Devil himself and hopes of being spared from his cruelty or just plain sadistic fun.
Sending Satan down to find the teleporter to Laplace was a plan by the Celestal Chaos Faction.

However, the Primalian girl and Lucifer managed to defeat Satan, and freed Laplace from the Great Serpentine Devil's influence, taking away his omniscience, perhaps the most important part of his power as it prevents him to assure his victory without it.

The Factors are the true entities behind things like time, force, nature and luck. When an universe is born, so are the Factors. They are the gears of the universe's mechanics. Entities like gods are able to tap into the Factors in varying degrees depending on the entity, and that is the source of their power. However, until this encounter with Laplace, the existence of Factors were a secret to all who do not possess perfect omniscience. Now their existence are known, the mystery of the Great Serpentine Devil's omnipotence is solved. With the Factors, one might be able to stand against the Great Serpentine Devil...

Being a fallen Celestial, Lucifer possesses both the qualities of a Celetial and an Infernal.
Thanks to his great wisdom and his disposition as half Celestial and half Infernal, he is unique in being able to balance both the powers of light and dark equally, effectively making him the third known Darklit after The Great Serpentine Devil and the original Darklit One.
However, despite the Darklits usually having an enormous role in destiny, Lucifer seems to be lacking this, making the immense power Darklits usually possess either latent or nonexistent in Lucifer.

The existence of entities that possess purely light or purely darkness that match Darklits have been theorized, but as the probability of an entity only being of light or only of darkness is so astronomically low, it is unlikely they will ever exist.
If they exist, a being of purely light would be called a Purelight, and a being of purely darkness would be called an Everdark.
