A concept for a Sol Beast, a demonic creature of unknown origin. They appear to be a mass of tentacles with masks for faces.
Traditional magic has no effect on them. They can only be harmed through dark magic.
I don't really have much thought out yet, but I was thinking...

Sol Beasts first appeared in the second story arc.
When Mephistopheles was defeated, the Infernals should've disappeared alongside him, but it seemed that some of the Infernal influence remained in the world, as if a shadow of Mephistopheles' power remained.
Having a bad feeling, and worried about what Mephistopheles could have left behind, Luna sets out to investigate.

It was then when a Sol Gate appeared, and out came the first Sol Beast, attacking her on sight. Luna tried to counter, but her powers were completely ineffective. Just as things seemed bleak, someone performed dark magic on the Sol Beast, defeating it.
It was N-V, who, since the defeat of Mephistopheles, in an attempt to atone for his actions, has been travelling around, investigating the remains of the Infernal influence in the world.

Since N-V has been possessed by the Infernal D-Moon, N-V gained the ability to perform dark magic quite easily. However, as the Infernal was defeated, N-V should've lost his ability of performing dark magic.

To try to find answers, N-V directed Luna to Maggie, who knew a great deal about magic.
Being directly exposed to Mephistopheles' influence, it was discovered that Luna also had the potential to perform dark magic.
