I've been working to improve my shading techniques and backed off on the complexities to focus on something simple and more fitting to my style, and I think it really works? This is the culmination of my efforts, a reshade of an earlier drawing. What do you guys think?

Nice composition and darks and lights! To improve this, you could make the background less saturated and detailed. And to up the contrast even more, you can add blades of grass and leaves in the foreground. Hope this helps!
