        yeah, I can only get as far as just beating oki, then I'm stuck.
        I got the disc cleaned, but it didn't help, it still refuses to progress when I heal the tree, it doesn't even play the divine intervention cutscene.
        no fair, and I was almost 100% done! (I even only had 15 beads left to find!)
        (groans) life can be so cruel, can't it?

            s'alright, I'm replaying it on a new save in the hopes that it's just the save file itself that's malfunctioned.
