2014 Commission Info

LucidKitsune

Commissions are almost always open!
PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF SERVICE BEFORE COMMISSIONING ME.

Payment

Full payment is due upon acceptance of the commission by me. I will not start drawing your commission until I have received payment. If the amount is over $100, installments can be discussed if necessary. For commissions over $100, payment can be discussed with the client individually. If for any reason you are placed on a "waiting list", I will tell you when I am ready to start your commission, and payment will be due at that time.

PayPal payments are very much preferred and means you will get your commission faster. If you must pay by another method, it will need to be discussed first. Lost, stolen, or any other tragic loss of payments is not my responsibility.

Revisions

For commissions above the sketch or drawing option, I will show you the sketch for your approval before continuing to paint. I will make two revisions for free on the initial sketch. Any further refining will cost $5 per revision (and cost you time on it being finished). Once you finalize your sketch, I am not responsible for any further revisions to the structure of your painting. Once final, the painting cannot be changed.

Sketch commissions will not be revised unless it is a minor detail that is easily changed. These changes are at the artist's discretion depending on difficulty. You will not see a preview of your sketch before it is finished.

Deadlines

Generally, I do not work with deadlines. I aim to have all commissions finished within a reasonable amount of time. If you have a legitimate deadline (i.e. "This is for my friend's birthday on x/xx/xx"), I may be willing to work under deadlines, providing you give me adequate time to work. Otherwise, I will not promise a date your piece will be finished.

I work based off inspiration and don't always work on commissions in a set order. This ensures the best work that I can do, as I paint the best when I am inspired by a piece and can make it the best!

What will you draw?

Anything G to PG-13; fantasy, animals, mythical creatures, scenery, and beyond. These commissions give me more practice and learn to draw a wide variety of subjects. If there is something that I absolutely cannot draw or am not willing to draw, I will tell you up front. If you have questions, please ask. I DO NOT DRAW FANART. This includes your fan-created characters. (i.e. MLP's, Pokemon, etc.)

Copyright and Ownership Information

I retain all rights to the image. This means that I, and only I, can make reproductions, sell prints, make revisions, and upload the image to any galleries that I may choose.

The commissioner retains rights to the characters depicted in the image. This means that while I am able to reproduce or alter the specific work, I am not allowed to use the characters in any future work without the commissioner's permission.

If the commissioner purchases the original, physical painting from me, the commissioner owns the physical painting and may do whatever they want to that physical object (alter it, draw on it, step on it, etc.) however the image itself is protected under the artist's copyright and therefore cannot be uploaded, reproduced, or redistributed without the artist's permission. If you want to change the image in some way and display it on the internet, send me a note and ask.

In most cases, I will give the commissioner permission to upload the image to their online galleries, use it for icons, etc. Exceptions will be discussed before the commissioning process begins.

I retain the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

I retain the right to end a commission at any time. If I choose to stop work on a commission, the commissioner will receive a full refund and I will keep the work. Being the copyright owner, I am then allowed to alter and sell this artwork. If the commissioner would prefer, I could refund them the unfinished portion and they will get the artwork as is.

If the commissioner should call off the commission I will refund them the unfinished portion and they will receive their work in whatever state it may be in. I retain the right to refuse giving a full refund after I have done work.

Questions? Comments? Fluffy tribbles? Feel free to note me!
