Long ago, the two Lerbils- Paia and Kaia- came to a fruitful, purple planet with two suns. They each fostered a species into bustling society in their image, and chose a sun as their symbol. Paia- master of Stealh- choose the Silver Sun as her symbol, and raised the Popsums. Paia valued material wealth, physical possessions and health, cleverness, stealth, speed, and humor. She raised the Popsums to be a society of pilferers and jokers. Kaia- master of the Trumpet- choose the Gold Sun as her symbol, and raised the Paleokats. Kaia valued intellectual depth, philosophy, patience, beauty and music, and stewardship of the planet. She raised the Paleokats to be loyal, steadfast shepherds and artists that lived peacefully and honestly. The two species and their faux-goddesses' very different approach to life and society, and their different treatments of the most valuable resource on the planet-- Omnibugs, which they both ate-- lead to distrust and hatred. Both societies believed themselves to be the paragon of goodness, their Lerbil the only true Sun Goddess, and the other species to be stupid, evil, impostors. They kept a far distance from each other, only to fight over Omnibugs when they grew close.

...Until one day, much to the shock of both the Popsums and Paleokats, did Paia and Kaia announce that they had fallen in love and were now married. The two Lerbils used their combined magic to end all scarcity of resources, and declared that Popsum and Paleokat would now live in harmony. The new paradise has been clumsy, as the Paleokats and Popsums try to learn to get along and reconcile their differences, while getting used to their goddesses' sudden love.

With the help of my friends, I have been making new lore for my species. I decided to bring back Paleokats (obviously) and change a lot about Popsum society. All three are open species, and I will be making new species guides for all of them!
