I am less than a week away from finishing 5 years of college, and I wanted to take some time to say THANK YOU to all the people who helped me reach this point. Thank you all so very, very much. If it wasn’t for each and everyone of you, I could never have made it to this point.

Thank you to all my family, who supported me to follow my dreams of being a cartoonist. Thank you for all the encouragement you gave me. Especially thank you to the family who sat with me through the late-night panic attacks, sacrificing sleep to keep me happy and safe. I appreciate that more than I can express and I hope you realize what a difference those times made for me.

Thank you to all my friends and all my fellow students. Thank you for your support and interest in my art and my work, and thank you for giving me the critique I needed to grow. Thank you to my friends who I’ve known for over a decade, to the ones who inspired me to draw comics in the first place. Thank you to all my friends to giving me so much joy and excitement in my life, and thank you to all my friends who gave me comfort and peace.

And thank you, SCAD Faculty. Thank you SCAD Counselling for believing in me so much, so much you were willing to fight for me to succeed. I really can not emphasize enough the effect SCAD’s CS3 services mean to me. Without them, I might not be in college, and I fear much worse.Thank you for helping me through such a rough realization and change in my life, and for inspiring me to be vocal about my experiences as a Schizo-spectrum person.

Thank you to all the SEQA Professors, who encouraged me and complimented me when it was deserved and gave me the critique and pushes I needed. Thank you to the professors who were willing to work with me through hard times, who understood and still believed in me. Thank you for all the invaluable lessons you have taught me, and turning me into someone who has the potential to be ‘professional.’ And thank you for all your personality and character, you guys were a delight and made university so much fun.

Graduating college, graduating SCAD’s SEQA course specifically, has been my dream for a long time. It’s been the goal I focus on when everything else seems chaotic. And here, it’s about to come true. All the work has lead me here, but I’d be foolish not to realize the impact you all have made on me. Thank you so, so much.
