Licorice Gumdrop Ref Updated

LTSmiley

I didn't do a full new ref for it, just a partial to reflect the changes I've made. Most of them were more to its actual physical design rather than its outfit. Although some changes were made there too. Anyway that's all this is. Info below is the same still.

Invader Name: Licorice Gumdrop

Official Name: Greyar Untay'nnarr

Height: 7’0’’

Technical Gender: Male

Age: 37

Rank: Sergeant

Specialty: Tactician

Species: Desert Qwuedeviv

Disguised As: Debatable. It appears to be a military officer of some type.

Appearance: Licorice is strange in appearance by any Qwuedeviv standards. Its primary color is a light orange with a secondary color of white extending from its feet into rounded curves around its legs and arms similar to the markings of a husky. Its lower jaw is white with two red-brown, upside-down check marks to either side. Down its arms and neck it also has markings of the same color. Its toes are also semi-webbed, having a stretchy, thin layer of white skin between them.

It has several long sensors that connect just beyond the bone ridges of its head, tipped with black and a ring of black on their undersides. Its back has a ridge of spikey bone. Its tail and lower back has several long, flat, feathery tentacles.

Its disguise isn’t notably well, disguising, but it does pull its head sensor/tentacles down into a ponytail styled appearance, wears a variation of the Qwuedeviv officer dress uniform and hides its lower feather-tentacles from sight.

Personality: No one fully understands what Licorice is doing most of the time and many are a bit skeptical about being too close to it. It is considerably the most intimidating Qwuedeviv in Crew 52 at least by appearance.

Licorice is an intelligent creature even if it growls more than anything else when speaking to others. When by itself it is known to grumble excessively for several minutes to hours at times. Licorice Gumdrop has horrible people skills, and a short temper.

It has a highly authoritive mindset and has no problem with issuing a relentless chain of harsh commands upon its underlings. Licorice hates any potential competition to its own rank and thus keeps its boot firmly atop any promising soldiers, both physically and mentally. Licorice’s behavior is horribly destructive to mentality. It rules by means of fear from those beneath it rather than respect.

It is relatively untrustworthy towards anyone in a higher position than itself. It has no moral code and thus is quite willing and open to doing whatever it takes to get its own way. Those in lower ranks are relatively safe as long as they don’t irritate it or show any sign of future promise. However Licorice does not tolerate failure well and has a nasty tendency to keep a record of such ‘offenses’ against it. It retaliates at unexpected times, leaving anyone in close contact with it extremely nervous and paranoid. Licorice is a very cruel minded Qwuedeviv and actually takes joy in causing its fellow units to live such dreadfully fear filled lives.

Licorice has a highly elevated view of its personal value and overall worth. Anything short of perfect for it is unacceptable. Also others better be entirely enthusiastic about its every word, comment and appearance. Failure to do so will be met with instant and extreme aggression.

One of Licorice’s most significant downfalls is its total cowardice. If actually evenly matched, Licorice is more apt to flee than hold its ground regardless of its conviction in a matter. Once it is no longer in immediate danger it often plans to retaliate through shady means whilst the other’s back is turned.

Background:
Not much is known about this Qwuedeviv’s history—at least not by the rest of the crew. It lived amongst the red desert towers in its younger years, traveling long distances daily to get to and from the Academy. Beyond that, everything has been fairly routine.

Licorice Gumdrop took it upon itself to take control of the portion of Crew 52 which it landed nearby with. As the highest ranking officer amongst their particular segment, the others consented. There is also a strong chance this took place due to Licorice’s demanding nature.

Licorice greatly enjoyed its reign of terror and forced Loan Shark into being its personal little pawn to order around as it pleased. Pokeyoo did not listen particularly well, causing the two to have a very disagreeable relationship whilst DN Refrigerate and Fishsticks lived further away and thus were not as badly affected.

Licorice never had any intention of reuniting the crew despite its claims to the rest of them. By keeping them separated it was achieving all of its goals. One: To be in top command of something. And Two: To sabotage Smiley’s mission and thus its future success.

It was furious when it learned that Pokeyoo and Loan Shark had wandered off to look for the others without its consent. When Spork returned with the duo the two Qwuedeviv had a vicious fight which left Licorice injured, but mostly insulted.

It reluctantly returned with the others but has been even more irritable since then.

Random Facts:
Most like to joke that the Qwuedeviv looks like some kind of mutated monster. Not directly to it of course; many are intimidated by its size and appearance.

Licorice isn’t particularly fast or slow, but it is rather large so it tends to rely on its strength.

Its massive tail usually drags along the ground—it is incredibly tough and used more as a weapon than anything else.

Licorice is well aware of the fact it does not look ‘normal.’ It keeps itself hidden from the common public.
