Whacky Talkie Ref 2014

LTSmiley

Invader Name: Wacky Talkie

Official Name: Uquaari I’ye

Height: 4’11’’

Technical Gender: Male

Age: 21

Nickname: Talk

Species: Common Qwuedeviv

Rank: Communications Officer

Appearance: Talk has light brown fur with a white tuft on its chest and face. Its tail tip and ears are black. It also has a small stripe to the outside of the white of its face. Its eyes are blue. It wears a standard military uniform, with white gloves and boots instead. It has a visor HUD screen that displays information for it.

Personality: Always rushing and in a hurry, the poor feline is horribly busy and left to deal with the commanders’ hectic planning. Talk is responsible for intercepting and redirecting calls to the head commanders and is often the recipient of anger and displeasure. Constantly stressed, but excellent at multitasking, the little cat single handedly manages the jobs of at least a few Qwuedeviv. It is very patient and well-mannered but can get agitated when several contacts in a row are upset at it due to a lack of being able to speak to the head commanders. Poor Wacky Talkie is a constant target of abuse and unfortunately the bearer of bad news more often than not. It has the ‘dirty’ job that no one wants to do.

Talk is a very mild Qwuedeviv and horribly overworked. All its work takes a major toll on its mentality. It is very frazzled and constantly running in a state of chaos and confusion—its mind stretched far too thin. Occasionally Talk has a bit of an attitude, which usually gets knocked down swiftly by an angry contact. Most of the time, Talk is sweet and thoughtful—doing the best it can within the power it possesses. Unfortunately, many blame it for the commanders’ negligence in returning calls or being too busy to speak with. It has no friends other than the commanders due to its workload.

Talk is often exhausted and running on fumes—despite this, its work is still accurate and precise. It is often threatened with physical harm, leaving it a bit paranoid. Talk enjoys company and is both dedicated to and enjoys its line of work—but would prefer if it didn’t have quite so much.

Background: Talk is the commanders’ personal communications officer. The calls it handles are of utmost importance, even if the commanders don’t treat them as such. Talk comes from a long line of Qwuedeviv, all of which have been serving the Qwuedeviv command for several years. It is considered something of family honor to carry it on—a somewhat foreign concept to most Qwuedeviv.

Talk is a very young officer to hold such a role, but many of the other communications officers joke that a Qwuedeviv would have to be young to keep up with all those demands. It’s a thankless job, with little reward, but some ‘deviv’s gotta do it.

Wacky Talkie is like a mobile intergalactic phone service. It carries plenty of equipment that can get reception in all sorts of distant planets. There are some which it can only access from its main office, but the list is few.

Talk seems to have a lot of issues in dealing with the Generals’ personal mercenary, Mesh. Mesh, the one responsible for giving Wacky Talkie its nickname, is forever upset at the communications officer and likewise, Talk is usually irritated with the Mesh. If Mesh is ever planetside, Talk does its best to be near it as little as possible.

Random Facts:

Talk loves little candies and mints.

Talk’s office is portable to wherever the commanders go, however it also has a central base that is a stationary part of their main office.

There is a heavy tension between Talk and Mesh.

Talk often has little notes stuck on it and stuffed in its belt etc. These are from the commanders when they are too lazy to write the proper paperwork.
