A friend wanted to see a cartoony I'm sure TLG style counts version of the lipped smilodon. I was more than happy to draw one c: It was a simple sketch but I liked it enough to finish it.

    Aaaahhh this is really cute though! I heard about this theory a while back! I think it was debunked?? But it's really interesting nonetheless! Plus we'll never really know so... :D

      Thank you!

      The theory is neither debunked nor accepted, it needs far more research. I find it plausible, seeing how well most mammals hide their canines in their mouths and how "underlipped" palaeoart often is, but I won't preach it's the only correct way. For now I can play with the design :D

        Ooooh I'll have to read up on it more! I am fascinated by depictions of prehistoric beasties, so this is definitely interesting :D
