Deep Sleep // Dormir en lo profundo by Losesno

Deep Sleep // Dormir en lo profundo

Losesno

Usually I don't do this kind of things but now I'm really proud of my work, I only have to "coock" it and paint it.

Made with oaxacan clay and based in the novel "Dormir en Tierra" of José Revueltas and the sacred text of the mayas, the "Popol-Vuh"

Made by me

nice sculpting! can't wait to see it when it's cooked. in english, we call it 'to fire' the clay, in the oven or kiln. after it's been 'fired' it's done cooking. bit of a silly word for it but EH whatever. is oaxacan clay gritty in comparison to grey scultupres clay one can purchase from an art store?

Thank you and I take note of this words! I really have some problems with the terminology for some art process and, well, I hope don't say something wrong or bad for that :p
Maybe I upload another one of this but now dry and ready to been fired but I need wait a little more for this (some classmate still working in the first of three sculptures)

About the gritty thats depend of the kind of sand you want to use when you mix them but in this case are more less near to the grey clay. I think less
