House Vice of Wintercrest may certainly have been a truly noble family once; that is long in the past. The current lord, Don Aegen Vice rules over the family with an iron fist, turning it into little more than a protected crime family. Smallfolk in the North whisper to each other that perhaps they should revolt and instate Damien Morkai as Warden of the North; a terrifying thought because rumor has it he skins his prisoners alive!

Vargen Vice, the Executioner, is by no means first in the line of succession, so he travels the lands of Kvendiheim in search of debtors and other folk who have lost money to The Family and have failed to pay their due.

Vargen has found himself in Saltmarsh an unpopular man, grim of aspect and mocked behind his back. Perhaps an adventuring party can change his grim, cruel ways and help him see the good in folk.
